How do I reserve a puppy?
To reserve a puppy we ask that you fill out a puppy application first. We will contact you about our reservation list and how to place a reservation on a litter. There is a $400 reservation fee which will be applied to the puppy price. The fee is nonrefundable so please make a well thought out decision.
However, it is definitely transferable to another litter.
How do you raise your dogs and puppies?
Our dogs are part of our lives. We care for them and love them as part of our family! They are not raised in kennels. They visit their vet frequently, are genetically tested, and cared for with lots of LOVE. <3 We generally raise just one (or two) litters at a time in the very heart of our home. We start loving on them from birth! They are socialized to all the sights and sounds of our family and the running of our household. We use ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) and Puppy Culture protocols to aid in their raising.
Do your puppies come with any kind of guarantee?
We offer 30 days of FREE Health Insurance through Trupanion that you need to start up when you pick
up your puppy. You do NOT need to use a credit card for this at all. It is free.
We also offer a 2 year, testable genetic health guarantee that is in your puppy contract. We do not guarantee against common puppy ailments or accidents (such as foreign object ingestion, parasites or worms) that may happen after they leave our care.
Can we visit your dogs and puppies?
We love sharing our dogs and puppies with you! It brings such joy! However we have to consider their health and that of our family’s. Because they are so little and have baby immune systems without any
vaccinations yet, not to mention the pandemic, sadly we limit interactions a lot. Fortunately, we can video chat/Facetime, and send pictures and videos. 🙂 Thank you for understanding.
Do I get updates on my doodlebug?
We enjoy taking pictures and videos of them so much! Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates. Also, if you would like an individual update or picture, please feel free to contact us through text
or messages at any time. I’ll happily oblige!
When do I get to choose my puppy?
Families choose their puppy in order of when deposits were received. When the doodlebugs are between 5 and 6 weeks old (sometimes varies) we will have puppy picking!!! This is always a fun and exciting time! You will have the opportunity to schedule a visit with the puppies
either via Facetime, or in person (with safety precautions in place of course to keep all the puppy’s health a priority).
When is the final balance due?
The balance is due on the day you pick up your puppy. Please be reminded that we accept cash only on pick up day.
How can I get prepared for welcoming home my new doodlebug?
-Schedule vet visits for a checkup, and for when they are approximately 10 and 13 weeks old, for their second and third round of vaccinations and check-ups. If you’re local, we would highly recommend our vet,
just ask us. He is super with our doodles.
-Prepare your home for your new puppy by puppy-proofing. Decide on where the crate will go and how you will house train your baby. I recommend looking into joining Baxter & Bella Online Puppy Training
to help with this, especially if you have children at home. It helps everyone to be on the same page about how to train. For one very reasonable fee it is a lifetime of support.
-Order online the PawTree puppy food your baby is being weaned on, to have it when your doodlebug comes home. This will help avoid digestive challenges.
-If you haven’t yet, start coming up with a name.
What does the puppy come home with?
